Wedged in between the likes of basmati rice and raita in Curry Hill sits The Three Hens, a non-Indian, contemporary restaurant featuring American comfort food with fun and exotic twists. I have to say that I enjoyed some of these twists, while others just left me a little perplexed or indifferent. One that left me perplexed in a good way was, believe it or not, the bread basket and honey butter with hay ash. Yea…about that…

So hay ash is apparently exactly what it sounds like. Hay, burned then ground into a smoky ash, and in this case, dusted on top of some sweet honey butter. The purpose? Aside from that cool carbon color, it is believed to pull out the sweetness from the honey butter with a smoky finish. I didn’t really get a lot of smoke, but either way I could have eaten that stuff with the fresh warm bread all day.

I go to Greece for one week and when I come back No. 7 Sub has three new sandwiches. The NERVE. It started when my cubemate friend Gil showed up the other day with a sandwich for lunch. He got the “Filet-o-Fish” which is adapted from the ever-popular (though never a favorite of mine) Filet-O-Fish from McDonalds. I will eat many things but fish from a fast food chain was always a big fat NO in my mind, but I hold No. 7 Sub to a different standard, so I gave it a bite.

The Skinny Pig: Spring Has Arrived At Vai Spuntino Bar

At least Spring has arrived SOMEWHERE, because it surely hasn’t hit the rest of NYC yet. My dinner at Vai Spuntino Bar last week was full of fresh fish, bright herbs, and clean flavors. Chef Vincent Chirico does a wonderful job of incorporating this seasons ingredients into the menu, and nothing was ordinary; from the bread to the dessert, everything had a little flair to it. The plates are meant to be shared and paired with flights of wine. That’ll put a spring in your step, eh?

The bread arrives warm at our table with roasted garlic cloves, eggplant mousseline with turkish pepper, and salted cod with shaved toasted garlic for spreading.

Motorola Droid Firmware Update 2.01

Just a few minutes ago I received a Firmware update for my Droid. It was surprising because I only got it on one of the Droids that I own . ( Still haven’t received it on my other phone) . Verizon has released a list of changes on the phone :

The following enhancements to the Droid by Motorola have been made:
xx OS stability is improved.
xx Battery life is improved.
xx Camera auto focus functionality is improved, and time between
shots is reduced.
xx Enhancements for three-way calling.
xx Audio for incoming calls is improved.
xx When receiving a call on call waiting, the speakerphone now
remains on.
xx Bluetooth® functionality is improved; background echo is eliminated.
xx Improved Bluetooth phone book transfer of contacts to in-vehicle
Bluetooth solutions.
xx After closing a GPS application, the GPS icon will now automatically
be removed from the notification panel.
xx Users can now receive SMS and MMS messages after an EMS
message is received.
xx SMS and MMS may now be sent to seven-digit addresses.

Blog : Motorola Droid Tips and Tricks

So as many of you know I got a Motorola Droid and have spent the last 24 hours playing with this phone. A few problems that I have found are that the Battery life is horrible. after just a few hours of using the phone the battery is dead. The reason for this is that the Apps run in the background ( not like the Iphone where it turns it off as soon as you exit the app) . So what I did was download a app called Advanced Task Manager . The app allows you to turn off the apps you no longer want running

Video Review : Lifecam Cinema Vs. Logitech 9000 pro

I got many emails asking me to do a side by side comparison between the Lifecam Cinema and the Logitech 9000 so I thought why not.. So here it is I review both cameras and tell you what I think is the better one. I was actually suprised how well the Logitech 9000 does under low light . Also Many people have Emailed me and asking questions about the mic on the Lifecam Cinema and that is also addressed in the review. I hope everyone enjoys the video

Review : NEW Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD Webcam

here is the Review I just did on the new camera we will be using for our shows. It has some great features and some really bad features I am learning about as Im using it.

Some of the bad things that I have found out about the camera is that it uses some Strange Resolutions that vidblaster isnt able to handle well so im still stuck using 640×360

but here are the resolutions that it supports

160×120
320×240
424×240
640×360
800×448
960×544
1280×720
