This week on What The Tech: Andrew and Paul pick apart Microsoft’s decision to kill off Messenger in favor of Skype. Is Microsoft giving Skype too much control over their product? Andrew asks Paul where Microsoft is with the next generation of the Xbox. What type of console do people want these days? Microsoft finally announces the launch date of the Surface Pro. Should people buy it? And the FCC wants gigabit internet speeds in all 50 states by 2015. Is that possible?

I have to disagree with Andrew about not reccomending upgrading to Win8 on 3 year old laptops. I have done so with several and find them to feel refreshed. Of course you dno’t have access to all the benefits Win8 has to offer but you do get the benefits of what one may refer to as the updated Win7. It is def. a worthwhile upgrade.
