I just want to say that I was disappointed with this episode. I will be removing What the Tech from my playlist. You spent a large amount of time talking about non tech related points (not that I don’t find history interesting). I just really didn’t feel the Geek vibe coming off of you fellas. I stopped this episode after your short mention of Firefox and Ubuntu OSs phones. Bah no I”m just rambling , in short your opinions and lack of focus has left a bad taste in my mouth …. what the heck.

    5. Not every show will be a home run. This was the first show back from vacation so we chose to do a lighter show.

I enjoyed the show as always. The honest opinions are always appreciated.

One note about the Roku is that it does include universal search now. It isn’t perfect, but there is an icon on the home screen for search which will search across netflix, amazon, vudu etc.

Andrew… I typically enjoy the show too. I have to agree, though, that you and Paul really dropped the ball on lack of tech focus in this episode.

I will listen again next week, as I also agree that every show can’t be a homerun. However, with CES going on, there is really no excuse for not having plenty of tech news to get through the episode.

If I may offer a suggestion. Maybe next time you don’t feel you have enough tech news to report, simply do a shorter show. It is better to have a smaller amount of good to great content, than a large amount of ‘fluff’.
