What The Tech Ep. 145 – Worst Tech Products of 2012
This week on What The Tech: The end of the year is approaching, which means it’s time for our end of the year specials. First up is our Worst Tech products and companies of 2012. RIM/BlackBerry, Nokia, Intel, and the Nook all pop up on Paul’s Worst of list. Paul explains why he’s picked those companies. Andrew meanwhile has AMD, Apple Maps, PC manufacturers with Windows 8, and NFC for Google Wallets. And viewers picked out the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and HP for the Worst Of. Do they really deserve to make the Worst Of list?
You can purchase Paul’s new book, Windows 8 Secrets on Amazon and help support GFQ at the same time. Just purchase through our Amazon affiliate link.

Paul your just too critical.
The link in the RSS feed for this video is broken. Downloads 38k then quits.
Leo Laporte calls Andrew Z. a slut. Why I don’t know? Great show gentleman!!!
I just have to comment on the mention of the Showtime Oliver Stone show that Andrew likes. Paul way understated it that Stone can be a bit biased. This show is a travesty of deceit in light of the shallow education most Americans receive in history. I would hope that most people would laugh off someone like Oliver Stone by now but the possibility that people might take this show as anything even resembling a truthful account of history worries me. The outline for this shows script comes from a book from 1952 by Carl Marzoni that was literally funded by the KGB. It is the worst sort of proganda that seeks, among other things, to whitewash as vile a figure as Josef Stalin. See this video link (http://youtu.be/wRtgjRhTdUw) for some discussion about the show and then decide whether you should waste any more time listening to someone as unhinged and fevered in his thinking as Oliver Stone. Showtime should be shamed into cancelling this. It is an offense to the millions who suffered under Soviet rule.
