Dara Pollak (Writer) – Born and raised in Queens, Dara now lives in NYC which serves as the perfect landscape for her food addiction. Dara will try any type of food, as long as it doesn’t involve clams or oysters. Which leads to the next fact about Dara: she has a slight preference for fatty foods and can eat quite large quantities of it, hence the nickname “Skinny Pig.” And by today’s standards she’s not even “skinny” – a size 4 is considered fat in NYC but “The Average Pig” doesn’t have as nice of a ring to it.
